This is an awsome WW I U.S. helmet with great period paint decoration of a skull and cross bones. I took a close up shot of the paint so you could see the alligatored finish the old paint has aquired. The liner and chin strap are present as you can see and in great condition. Rust is pretty much non exhistant on this great helmet. This helmet came out of the house of a man who's Father was in WW I. It was NOT bought at an auction !
